The use of colour is very effective, the sepia tones of interior spaces in contrast to more grey tones of the external bridge are often very beautiful. The very sparing use of red may even have a narrative significance? Visually I think it is stunning. The gender stereotypes as regards emotions seem to have been reversed where Martin has the social and emotional perception and Saga has a more pragmatic view on life. I thought parts very really funny, however, there is a danger of too much self-parody? I look forward to more of The Bridge. For me Nordic Noir continues to be a highlight in my viewing week.
